Accessibility
Useful software has to be usable by more people. We are designing this site toward WCAG 2.2 Level AA and treating screen-reader, keyboard, contrast, and motion support as product requirements.
1. Our goal
HyenaPack aims to provide a website that people can navigate and understand across assistive technologies, input methods, display settings, and device sizes. Accessibility work continues as the site and our products change.
2. Features in this site
- semantic landmarks, headings, lists, and descriptive link text;
- a skip link and visible keyboard focus indicators;
- dark and light themes with high-contrast text and controls;
- content that remains available from 320-pixel-wide screens through large displays;
- large touch targets and interactions that do not depend on hovering; and
- a static decorative signal field when reduced motion is requested.
3. Testing approach
We include keyboard-only review, automated accessibility checks, zoom and reflow checks, high-contrast themes, and screen-reader compatibility in our release process. JAWS on Windows is an explicit compatibility target, alongside current browser and platform screen readers.
4. Known limits
The animated particle field in the home-page hero is decorative, does not contain information, and stops moving when reduced motion is enabled. External sites, including GitHub and future app stores, are outside HyenaPack’s control and may not provide the same level of accessibility.
